The regeneration framework is a community led masterplan and future vision for the town of Purley in Croydon. The team was commissioned to develop the framework and undertake community engagement and participation. As part of the strategy, Urban Symbiotics established the “Purley Panel”; a representative community panel that was curated
to deliver insight from all facets of the community and to participate in the development of the framework.
Outputs include a public realm strategy with improved connectivity and wayfinding, the design of a new community ‘heart’, high street improvements and ground floor frontage strategy, a cultural and meanwhile use strategy. It is also supported by an integrated movement strategy with sustainability embedded across it all and a brief for a range of future projects aligned with the vision and framework. . strategy with improved connectivity and wayfinding, the design of a new community ‘heart’, high street improvements and ground floor frontage strategy, a cultural and meanwhile use strategy.
